Italian photographer Guido Guidi will be the protagonist of the next Filmaporto screening at the Batalha Centro de Cinema, on Friday 14th March at 9.15pm, with the screening of the documentary Guido Guidi Lives in Hiding, directed by Paulo Catrica.
The film delves into the life and creative process of Guidi, a key figure in contemporary photography, exploring his artistic philosophy in the isolated village where he lives near Cesena. Through images, personal reflections, conversations and research into his vast archive, the documentary paints an intimate portrait of the photographer and his unique view of the world.
The screening is free (upon ticket pickup on the same day, limited to two per person) and will be followed by a conversation with director Paulo Catrica, screenwriter Paula Pinto and producer Renata Sancho.
